I have been practicing yoga
for about six years and have been a teacher for three, having completed
my teacher training in Sivananda Yoga in July 2007. Although
my training is in Sivananda, I’m primarily self-taught so
in class I usually mix things up a bit. I like to use whatever
poses or techniques I consider the most effective rather than sticking
to a single style or school of yoga. Classes can therefore
vary a lot, as I will adapt each class to the needs and experience
of the students in it. While I do my best to challenge students
and help them to improve, my main goal is for students to understand
that yoga is all about how it feels on the inside, not how it looks
on the outside, and for everybody to have some fun and leave class
feeling better than when they arrived.
